Matt qualified from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 2007 and quickly became interested in saving teeth with root canal treatments.
His early postgraduate training focused heavily on this aspect of dentistry. He received the British Endodontic Society Prize for Vocational Dental Practitioners in 2008 and the British Endodontic Society Prize for General Dental Practitioners in 2009. During these years, Matt studied for a Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Chester.
In addition, he has furthered his dental training with a year-long restorative dentistry course at the Centre for Advanced Dental Education and is now an Invisalign provider.
Outside work, Matt likes being outdoors with his wife and two sons. He’s happy in the garden, out on the hills, or getting his adrenaline fix in a veteran’s BMX race. BMX racing is a sport that he has only taken up recently with his sons, but he loves it and now competes at national race events.
